Biography:

Hello my name is Andy Pappacoda the Founder and President of Florida Coin & Jewelry, Inc. of Clearwater, Florida. After collecting coins since the age of five, my numismatic career started with employment in several local Coin & Stamp Shops during High School in the Tampa Bay area. While working long hours during College, a tempting 1980 market lured me from continuing studying Physics and Calculus while pursuing an Electrical Engineering degree at the University of South Florida to a lifelong career in numismatics. In 1982 I became employed by Gulfcoast Coin Brokers, Inc. of Naples, FL where I became very active on the "Show Circuit" and known throughout the country. At Gulfcoast I eventually became Vice-President and partner and for several years attended more than 50 shows per year. In 1986 I left to become head numismatist for National Gold Exchange, Inc. and was instrumental in the company’s rapid growth and relocation to its current headquarters of Tampa, Florida. My duties included traveling abroad to purchase large quantities of United States Gold Coins and travel duties took me to Coin Shows on three continents. Since 1990 I have been self-employed and my company Florida Coin & Jewelry, Inc. has expanded from a predominately wholesale business to a blossoming retail business.
